RANDY AND KIM...11 YEARS!
That's right! Randy and I celebrated our 11th anniversary on August 10th. Here's a couple pics through the years. Happy Anniversary Honey!
Here we are in 93...before we took the plunge. How could he NOT fall for me??? Check out that hair and I've got a big ol' cold sore! HA!
August 10th 1996, we tied the knot. Randy was gone the whole month before our wedding. He came home the night before we got married and left 2 weeks later for a 6 month deployment. And so...our military life began!
We added Sam to the mix in 2001.
Randy retired in 2004 and we moved to Georgia.

Summer of 2007
We had some help celebrating our anniversary. Amy was in town from Florida. Me, Randy, Amy and William went to a local sports bar for dinner and then shot some pool. We headed back to the house and that's where the real fun began! Will's girlfriend, Brittany, met us at the house. We turned on the tunes, had a couple drinks and next thing ya know we were all cutting a rug in the driveway! It was SO HOT so Randy decided to cool all of us off....with the hose. It was all downhill from there. And I do mean downhill...Amy and Will slipped on the downslope of our driveway...good thing Will caught Amy's fall. He's just SO tough.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, 8/6/07
The girls started school last week. Chels started 10th grade and Sam started 1st grade. They both have had a great first couple weeks. Sam's teacher is awesome! She really likes her. I'll start volunteering in her class in the next couple weeks. Gramma and I went to meet her for lunch yesterday. All the kids are so dang cute. I got the first update on Chelsea's grades yesterday. So far, she has 4 A's and 2 B's. As you can see from the pics below, she'll be breaking hearts this year! She gets her braces off on 8/27. She's SO excited.
Of course her backpack says "I love Troy" from High School Musical.
LAST BIT OF SUMMER FUN
We only had two more days until school started, so we headed to Six Flags! Me, Randy, Chels, Sam, Bumpa (my dad), Justin(Randy's nephew), William(my cousin), and Will's girlfriend, Brittany all headed out to HELL (otherwise known as Georgia during a heatwave) and had a great time.
The first ride HAD to be the Scream Machine. Sam wanted to ride front car with Bumpa and no hands! Then, she made (forced, really) Randy to ride front car. There's no way Randy would put his hands up. He had to take many deep, long breaths before he got on the ride. It's so funny to watch him...he's such a chicken!

THE SLEEPOVER
So, Sam told Randy she wished she could have a sleepover. Next thing ya know, they are making a list of everything we need to do at the sleepover and yes, we did most of it! Here's the list. It includes scary movies (didn't do that!), jammies with toe covers on (TOO HOT), lights off (too scary), dancing, singing, pillow fight (now THAT was fun), tell stories, pretend we are in a band, ice cream, popcorn, the game Little Sally Walker, chocolate milk, Sam singing the "toast" song from Hannah Montana, and the best for last, playing tricks on dad with whipped cream.
As you can see in the bottom right corner, Chels wrote "this sleepover rocks!" and it did!
Smores were not on the list but we added that. Lucky for Justin, he came up for the weekend. He never dreamed he'd have this much fun!!! HA!
We should have added "throw up" to the list with all the junk food we ate!
It was time for Daddy to go to sleep and he always falls asleep within a couple minutes. Good thing we didn't have to wait long to start loading him up with whipped cream. They started out putting it on his hand and tickling his nose. Then, they just went right for the face!
We were cracking up! How can he breathe under all that????

OUR TRIP TO KEVIN AND JULIE'S
Randy's brother, Kevin, has made a move from PA to IN. We took this trip to their new house earlier in the summer but Randy keeps his pics on his camera for months!! We had a good time and hope to see them again soon.
